Your Data. Your Rules.
Plain-English privacy policy. What we collect, why we need it, who we share it with, and how to get it out of our hands if you want it.
We're Parallel 13, LLC. To run the store, ship you illuminated apparel, and keep the site working, we collect some information about you. This policy tells you exactly what, why, and what you can do about it. No dark patterns, no legalese theater.
Three Sources. That's It.
Personal information comes to us from three places: you, your device, and third parties that help us run the business.
- Name, email, phone
- Shipping and billing address
- Order and payment confirmation
- Account login and security questions
- Messages to customer support
- Device and browser info
- IP address and network details
- Pages visited and clicks
- Cookie and pixel data
- Shopify (platform provider)
- Payment processors
- Analytics and advertising tools
To Run the Store
Every piece of data serves a specific job. Here's the list.
- Fulfilling orders. Processing payments, packing your piece, shipping it, handling returns and warranty claims.
- Customer support. Responding when you email us, resolving issues, keeping records of the conversation.
- Marketing. Sending emails, texts, and targeted ads — but only if you've opted in. Unsubscribe anytime, link is in every email.
- Fraud prevention. Spotting sketchy orders, stopping chargeback scams, keeping the site secure.
- Site improvement. Understanding which pages work, which products people like, where people drop off.
- Legal. Responding to lawful requests, enforcing our terms, protecting our rights and yours.
Small Files, Big Picture
Cookies and similar tech (pixels, SDKs, local storage) help the site work, remember your cart, run analytics, and support advertising. You can reject cookies in your browser settings — some parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out of targeted advertising. We do not currently respond to generic "Do Not Track" signals — the industry hasn't settled on what that means.
The Short List
We share personal information only where it's needed to run the business or where the law requires it. We do not sell your data to brokers.
- Service providers. Shopify (storefront + checkout), payment processors, shipping carriers, IT and analytics vendors, email and SMS platforms. They only get what they need to do their job.
- Advertising partners. For the ads you see on other platforms. If you use GPC or opt out, we stop sharing data for this.
- With your consent. Anyone you specifically tell us to share with.
- Affiliates. Any entities inside our corporate group.
- Legal and safety. Subpoenas, court orders, law enforcement requests, or protecting people from harm. Also in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization of the business.
Categories we've shared or disclosed in the past 12 months: identifiers and contact details, order and account info, commercial activity, usage and internet activity, and coarse geolocation (city/region level from IP).
Sensitive information — such as precise location or government IDs — is not used or shared without your explicit consent.
You're in Control
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal information. We won't treat you differently for using them.
Get a copy of the personal info we hold about you.
Ask us to delete your personal info, with some legal exceptions.
Fix anything inaccurate or out of date.
Get your data in a common, machine-readable format.
Limit how we process your information in certain situations.
Pull back consent you gave earlier. Future processing stops.
Challenge us if we deny one of these requests.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Reply STOP to any SMS.
To exercise any of these, email info@p13designs.com with the request. We may need to verify your identity before we act. Authorized agents can submit requests on your behalf with proper documentation.
Not Built for Kids
Our site and products are for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent or guardian and you believe we have data about your child, email us and we'll delete it.
Protected, Not Perfect
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data — encryption in transit, limited access internally, reputable vendors. But no system on the internet is 100% secure. We're honest about that.
How long we keep data depends on why we have it: as long as your account is active, as long as we need it to fulfill orders, as long as legal and tax obligations require, and as long as we need to resolve disputes or enforce contracts.
Data Travels
We operate from the United States. If you're outside the US, your personal information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the US and other countries. For transfers from the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Outbound Links
Our site may link to other services — social media, partner sites, the Ellumiglow tech site. Their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies before sharing anything with them. Anything you post on a public platform is visible to the public.
We Update This Occasionally
Laws change. The business evolves. When this policy changes, we'll post the updated version on this page and bump the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes may also be communicated through the site or email.
If You're Not Happy
Email us first. We'd much rather hear about a problem directly and fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — the ICO in the UK, your national DPA in the EU/EEA, or your state attorney general in the US.
